Atieva, a leader in electric and hybrid vehicle drivetrains, is pleased to announce that former GM executive Denise Gray has joined the company as Vice President (United States). 

Ms. Gray brings 30 years of automotive experience at GM to Atieva.  She is best known for her last position at General Motors as Director of Global Battery Systems Engineering.  At GM, she was responsible for delivering all battery systems used in General Motor's hybrid and extended-range electric vehicles, including the system used in GM’s flagship clean energy vehicle, the Chevrolet Volt.  Denise was instrumental in establishing GM’s Global Battery Systems Group, growing the group from 25 employees to over 200 spread over three continents.  Crucial to the development of the acclaimed Volt battery system, the group also developed the second generation Voltec powertrain, the electric drivetrain used in the Chevy Volt and Cadillac Converj.
